The Selling Process from Start to Finish

 

  1. You meet with a Realtor to discuss pertinent details, these include but are not limited to:
    1. Price, commission, etc (the money end of things)
    2. When showings start, offer dates, open house dates, etc…
    3. Your favorite things about your house
    4. Disclosure of imperfections in property, problems or issues.  This is required by law, and the more up front we are with potential buyers the better.
    5. Time to discuss marketing methods.

 

  1. The house is listed on MLS!!

 

  1. Showings will start at a pre-determined date

 

  1. Perhaps an open house?  Refer to the guide for preparing for an open house included here.

 

  1. An offer comes in!!  Whether this is on a pre determined offer day or not, this will eventually happen.

 

  1. We will do one of three things with the offer: accept it as it is, decline it, or counter one or more terms in the offer.

 

  1. We have an accepted offer that is agreeable to both parties… this is awesome news! 

 

  1. Time to work on the conditions; depending on what they are this may take little to no co-operation from you. 

 

  1. I will get a copy of the accepted offer to your bank and to your lawyer.

 

  1. Once we are here the house is officially sold!  Congratulations!  Now it is time to pack, clean and prepare the house for its new owners.
